After regrouping and tweaking strategies Tuesday night, 5150.CoD2 came to play on Thursday night against a veteran online and LAN team in Bloodline Gaming on mp_toujane.

After a slugish start on defense, the squad was able to rebound on the back of clutch rounds by both Bryan and Justin, posting a solid Defense and a lead of 8-4.

Allies side on toujane has always been the squads stronger side on a map that is slighted in the Germans favor depending on the strategies implemented. Slugish shifts and a fear of commiting to either bombsite left 5150.CoD2 able to abuse quick rushes to both bombsites and take the side 5-2, and the overall match 13-6.

The field has now been narrowed from 16 to 8 teams, and the format changed to best of 3 maps.
(5) 5150.CoD2 takes on (4) SlashTrendGaming. mp_carentan will be the tiebreaker, with the match taking place on Thursday, August 30th.

5150 dove into the Call of Duty series with the acquisition of the former X-Unit squad. The team has been around for quite the time and is respected amongst its peers in and out of game for their stability and attitude. The team now prepares for both CAL intermediate and TGL open playoffs in the coming weeks. The roster includes:

Season 8 has started off well for the 5150 source team. We have had some great match ups and we look forward to keep practicing through the cal e mazing tourney. It is going to be a short season and we are a little past the half way point with our eyes on a playoff seed.
